Whew! It's been a minute since I've shared a blog because wedding season was here! MDB Photography captured 11 weddings in 9 weeks! It was totally awesome, but I didn't have much time to share the sweet love stories on the blog. So. . . let's start back with one of my favorite couples. . . Amanda and Devin!
Amanda and Devin were one of my couples that had to reschedule because of the nasty C word. Everyone knows that word. . . So, they finally got married on October 2, 2021 and it was EPIC!
We started out getting ready at Homewood Suites right on the Savannah River with an amazing view! Once the girls were ready we snapped some pajama pics. Please take a moment and appreciate Amanda's robe!
Once we were all ready, Amanda and I met up with Devin at one of Savannah's famous squares, Washington Square! Their first look was so precious! Cue the tears! We took some time afterwards to get some beautiful couple portraits and dug up their bourbon before heading to Emmet Park for wedding party and family formals. Last but not least, we met up with their adorable pup, Marlin. The best way to calm your nerves before your wedding ceremony - your dog!
Then, it was ceremony time! Amanda and Devin were married at Savannah's iconic Cathedral Basilica of St. John the Baptist. If you have never been, go! My jaw dropped the first time I stepped foot inside. It's absolutely stunning!
After the ceremony, they had a bagpipe player start a parade to their reception location. It was easily the most fun walk I've ever had in my life. The guests loved it and so did all the people on the sidewalks we passed - haha!
Their reception was one HUGE party at The Knights of Columbus! From Amanda and Devin's entrance to their grand exit, it was a total blast! They had a band, amazing food, a big beautiful cake and even light-up sticks to make the dancing more fun!
Amanda and Devin are truly one of the sweetest couples I have ever met. From the first time I spoke with Amanda on the phone we instantly became friends and still chat months after their wedding. They even sent me a Christmas card! Amanda and Devin, thank you so much for allowing me and the MDBP team to capture your wedding day!! Congratulations! Here's to a lifetime of love, happiness and Marlin cuddles!
